This page explains ElitePetz breeder certification fees, the certification term, renewal requirements, and the status conditions that apply to ElitePetz certification.

Certification fees
No fee is charged to submit an application. The certification fee is payable only after a positive certification determination, and denied applications incur no fee.

When you pay
After your application is approved, through a secure online checkout. Nothing is due at submission.
Renewal
USD $199.00 per year, the same as the initial fee, to keep your certification and registry record active.

Prices are in US dollars. Any applicable taxes or processing charges are shown before you confirm payment.

If fees change
The fee shown at the time of your approval or renewal is the fee that applies to you.
Refunds
Certification fees are non-refundable once a certification is issued, except where required by law.
Important: The certification fee is charged only after a positive certification determination. Payment activates your certification and registry record. It does not influence the certification decision, which is made before any fee is due.
Validity & renewal
An approved certification remains valid for 12 months from its activation date unless it is suspended or revoked earlier under the applicable certification requirements.

Confirm that the certification record and supporting information remain current.

Submit any required updates before the certification expiration date.

Pay the applicable renewal fee and complete the renewal requirements.
Timing matters: Renewal must be completed before the expiration date to avoid a change to Expired status.
Verification: A certificate or badge should not be relied upon by itself. Use the official registry to confirm the current status of a certification record.
Expired
The validity period ended without completed renewal.
Revoked
Certification has been withdrawn and is no longer valid.
Suspended
Certification is temporarily inactive pending resolution or further action.
ElitePetz Certified
Certification is current and within its validity period.
The public certification record displays the certification’s current status. Status should always be confirmed through the official registry.
