Review & Due Process

Where enforcement action is considered, ElitePetz follows a defined review process before a certification status is changed. This page sets out the steps that may apply and the nature of the decisions that result.

Where enforcement action is considered

SEC. 01 · The Review

Before a decision is reached, any of the following steps may apply, so a matter can be examined fairly and on the record.

The certified entity may be notified

The entity may be informed that a review of its certification is underway.

Clarification or documentation may be requested

Further information or records may be sought before a decision is made.

A defined review period may be granted

A set period may be allowed for the entity to respond or address the matter.

Administrative discretion

ElitePetz reserves discretion in determining appropriate administrative timelines.

Administrative, not judicial

Certification decisions are administrative determinations and do not constitute judicial findings.
