Badge Usage Policy
ElitePetz Certification Authority
1. Purpose
This Badge Usage Policy establishes the conditions under which certification badges issued by the ElitePetz Certification Authority ("ElitePetz") may be displayed and used by certified entities.
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that certification is represented accurately, consistently, and in a manner that preserves the integrity of the ElitePetz certification system and public registry.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
➤ All entities granted certification by ElitePetz
➤ All certification badges, marks, and related visual assets issued by ElitePetz
➤ All forms of public and private display, including websites, social media, advertising, and printed materials
3. Grant of Use
Upon issuance of certification and activation of status, a certified entity is granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to display the ElitePetz certification badge.
This license is valid only while the certification status is Active.
No ownership rights are transferred.
4. Permitted Use
Certified entities may:
➤ Display the certification badge on their website, profiles, and marketing materials
➤ Reference their certification status using the designation "ElitePetz Certified™"
➤ Use the badge in connection with the certified entity's business identity
All use must:
➤ Accurately reflect current certification status
➤ Be clearly associated with the certified entity
➤ Maintain the integrity and legibility of the badge
5. Mandatory Verification Link
All public displays of the certification badge must include a direct and accessible link to the official ElitePetz verification page corresponding to the certified entity.
➤ The verification link must:
➤ Be functional and publicly accessible
➤ Lead directly to the entity's certification record
➤ Not be obscured, altered, or redirected
Failure to maintain a valid verification link constitutes non-compliant use.
6. Prohibited Use
The following uses are strictly prohibited:
➤ Displaying the badge while the certification status is not Active
➤ Altering, modifying, or redesigning the badge in any form
➤ Using outdated, expired, or revoked certification materials
➤ Representing certification as endorsement, guarantee, or accreditation beyond its defined scope
➤ Applying the badge to entities, operations, or locations not covered by the certification
➤ Using the badge in a misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent manner
7. Status Changes and Immediate Obligations
Upon any change in certification status (including Suspension or Revocation), the certified entity must:
➤ Immediately remove all certification badges from public display
➤ Cease all references to being "ElitePetz Certified™"
➤ Discontinue use of all certification-related materials
Failure to comply may result in formal enforcement action.
8. Monitoring and Enforcement
ElitePetz reserves the right to:
➤ Monitor usage of certification badges across public and digital channels
➤ Request correction or removal of non-compliant usage
➤ Record violations within the certification status history
Non-compliance may result in:
➤Suspension of certification
➤Revocation of certification
➤ Public notation of enforcement actions within the registry
9. Intellectual Property
All certification badges, marks, and associated materials are the exclusive property of Elite Petz LLC.
Unauthorized use by non-certified entities or third parties is strictly prohibited and may be subject to legal action.
10. Disclaimer of Endorsement
Certification by ElitePetz:
➤ Does not constitute endorsement, warranty, or guarantee
➤ Does not replace regulatory licensing or legal compliance
➤ Is limited to evaluation under the ElitePetz Certification Standards Framework
11. Amendments
ElitePetz reserves the right to modify this Badge Usage Policy at any time.
Updated versions will be published on the official ElitePetz website and take effect upon publication
