Limitations of Certification
ElitePetz breeder certification confirms that an applicant completed the applicable review process and was found to meet the certification standards in force at the time of assessment. It is not a guarantee, government license, endorsement, or assurance about any animal or private transaction.

Certification is a point-in-time determination.
A certificate reflects the information reviewed and the standards applied during an assessment. It does not amount to continuous oversight of a certificate holder’s business, premises, animals, or conduct.
What certification does not do
ElitePetz certification is a defined, administrative assessment. It is deliberately narrow, and the following boundaries are as important as the assessment itself.

It does not guarantee an animal’s health, quality, or suitability
ElitePetz does not inspect, diagnose, grade, or warrant any individual animal. Certification does not predict health, temperament, behavior, appearance, fertility, longevity, or suitability for a particular person, household, or purpose.

It does not guarantee the outcome of a transaction
Certification does not guarantee availability, price, payment, delivery, placement, contractual performance, buyer satisfaction, or any other outcome of a sale or arrangement between private parties.

It does not make ElitePetz a party to buyer–seller disputes
ElitePetz is not a party, agent, broker, guarantor, or representative in transactions between certificate holders and buyers. It does not mediate, arbitrate, adjudicate, or enforce private agreements.

It does not replace legal or regulatory requirements
ElitePetz certification is separate from any license, permit, registration, inspection, or other legal obligation. Applicants and certificate holders remain solely responsible for identifying and complying with all laws and rules that apply to them.

It does not constitute continuous supervision or an endorsement
ElitePetz does not manage or supervise a certificate holder’s day-to-day operations. Certification must not be represented as a blanket endorsement of the holder, its animals, services, claims, or future conduct.

It does not remove the need for independent judgment
Buyers should conduct their own research, ask questions, review relevant records and agreements, and obtain independent professional advice when appropriate. A certification record is one source of information—not a substitute for due diligence.
Status can change. Certification may expire, lapse, be suspended, or be revoked in accordance with the applicable framework. Always verify the current registry record rather than relying only on a badge, screenshot, or printed certificate.
