These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the ElitePetz Certification Authority website and certification system (the "Platform").
By accessing, browsing, applying for certification, or using any part of this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use this Platform.
2. Nature of the Authority
ElitePetz Certification Authority ("ElitePetz," "the Authority," "we," "us") is a private certification body operating within the companion animal breeding sector.
ElitePetz:
➤ Is not a government agency
➤ Is not a licensing authority
➤ Is not a regulatory body
➤ Does not sell animals
➤ Does not act as a broker
➤ Does not represent buyers or sellers
Certification issued by ElitePetz reflects compliance with ElitePetz's published standards only.
3. Scope and Effect of Certification
Certification:
➤ Applies to an entity (breeder, cattery, kennel, or related organization)
➤ Reflects status within the ElitePetz certification framework
➤ May be Approved, Suspended, Revoked, or Reinstated
➤ Is subject to ongoing compliance review
Certification does not:
➤ Guarantee quality, health, or condition of animals
➤ Replace veterinary advice
➤ Replace government licensing
➤ Create a fiduciary or agency relationship
➤ Guarantee commercial performance
Certification is a structured status designation within a private framework.
4. Public Registry and Verification
ElitePetz maintains a public certification registry.
The registry may display:
➤ Certification ID
➤ Entity Name
➤ Country of Operation
➤ Species/Breed Category
➤ Certification Status
➤ Activation Date
➤ Expiration Date
➤ Status History (where applicable)
Registry results reflect the status recorded in the system at the time of search.
ElitePetz does not guarantee uninterrupted registry access or real-time availability.
5. Applications and Representations
By submitting an application, the applicant represents that:
➤ All information provided is accurate and complete
➤ The submission is authorized
➤ The applicant agrees to ElitePetz Certification Standards and Code of Ethics
➤ The applicant understands certification may be denied, suspended, or revoked
False, misleading, or incomplete information may result in:
➤ Rejection
➤ Suspension
➤ Revocation
➤ Permanent ineligibility
6. Certification Decisions and Status Records
ElitePetz maintains a structured audit record of certification actions.
Status actions may include:
➤ Submission
➤ Approval
➤ Rejection
➤ Suspension
➤ Revocation
➤ Reinstatement
Status determinations are recorded within the system as part of the Authority's governance framework.
ElitePetz retains sole discretion in certification determinations in accordance with its published policies.
7. Fees
Where applicable, certification fees:
➤ Are payable as specified during application
➤ Do not guarantee approval
➤ Are non-refundable unless explicitly stated
ElitePetz reserves the right to modify its fee structure.
8. No Participation in Transactions
ElitePetz does not:
➤ Participate in animal sales
➤ Process payments between buyers and breeders
➤ Draft or enforce private contracts
➤ Resolve commercial disputes
All transactions between certified entities and third parties are conducted independently of ElitePetz.
9. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, including but not limited to:
➤ Text
➤ Logos
➤ Certification identifiers
➤ Verification mechanisms
➤ System architecture
is the property of ElitePetz.
Unauthorized reproduction, misuse, or misrepresentation of certification status or identifiers is prohibited and may result in enforcement action.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ElitePetz shall not be liable for:
➤ Direct or indirect damages
➤ Business losses
➤ Reputational harm
➤ Animal health outcomes
➤ Third-party disputes
➤ Decisions made in reliance on certification status
Certification is informational and status-based in nature.
11. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless ElitePetz from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
➤ Misuse of certification
➤ False representations
➤ Breach of these Terms
➤ Independent commercial activity
12. Platform Access
ElitePetz may suspend or restrict platform access for:
➤ Policy violations
➤ Fraudulent activity
➤ Abuse of system functionality
Platform access decisions are separate from certification status determinations.
13. Modifications
ElitePetz reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Official Communications
All communications with ElitePetz Certification Authority must be submitted through the official contact form available on this Platform.
ElitePetz does not maintain public customer service email accounts and does not accept certification-related correspondence through informal channels.
Submission through the official contact form constitutes the recognized method of communication with the Authority.
ElitePetz reserves the right to determine the scope and manner of response.
