How Certification Works

Overview

ElitePetz Certification follows a defined administrative lifecycle designed to ensure consistent evaluation, structured decision-making, and transparent status tracking.

Certification is a status granted following review against published standards.

Step 1 - Application Submission

Applicants submit a formal certification application through the official application portal.

Required information includes:

  • Legal or operating name

  • Contact details

  • Country of operation

  • Species and breed focus

  • Description of breeding activity

  • Declaration of agreement with published standards

Submission creates a permanent application record within the system.

Step 2 - Administrative Review

Each application is reviewed against established eligibility criteria.

The review may include:

  • Evaluation of submitted representations

  • Verification of required disclosures

  • Confirmation of compliance with stated standards

The Authority may request clarification or supporting documentation during this stage.

Step 3 - Decision

Following review, one of the following determinations is issued:

  • Approved

  • Rejected

All decisions are recorded within the system and linked to a permanent status history entry.

Step 4 - Activation

Approved applications may proceed to activation upon fulfillment of administrative requirements, including payment of applicable certification fees.

Certification becomes active only upon formal activation.

Step 5 - Certification Period

Certification is valid for a defined period as stated in the Rules & Standards.

During this period:

  • Status remains Active unless administrative action occurs

  • Complaints or evidence submissions may trigger review

  • Status changes are recorded in the system

Step 6 - Renewal or Enforcement

Prior to expiration, certified entities may apply for renewal.

Certification may also be:

  • Suspended

  • Revoked

in accordance with enforcement policies.

Certification is a lifecycle, not a one-time label.
